YORE, a vibrant cafe, retail, and event space in beautiful Myponga, opened its doors in November 2023. What started as a simple takeover quickly revealed a need for a complete kitchen overhaul. Birdie, one of the three owners, shares how Forward Creations transformed their space into a highly functional and praised kitchen.
“When we took over the space, we didn't actually know that we needed to do anything to the existing kitchen, but after a closer inspection, pretty much everything had to come out," Birdie explains. "That was when Chris from Forward Creations kind of came into the picture at the perfect time.”
"Forward Creations was great in working with the stuff that we did have and then advising us on what we should include and what should be a part of our kitchen," Birdie says. "He wasn't afraid to tell us what wouldn't work, which really encouraged us to trust him and what he knew about what he was doing, and that left us with an amazing product."
"So during the time that we were setting up YORE, Chris actually was on holidays in Malaysia, but this didn't stop him at all from always reaching out and making sure that we were on track and that the products were getting delivered and the installation of the kitchen was in the time period that we needed."
“It’s been six months since we’ve been open, and probably one of the compliments that we get the most from our staff is how well the kitchen functions. There is just so much space. We can all easily move around each other, and we really put it down to Chris’s hard work in establishing a great flow in our kitchen.”
